Privacy Policy

Your audio stays on your Mac. This policy explains how Levelune, its website, and support requests handle information.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Momentum Apps, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Levelune, a macOS app for controlling individual app volume and mute. This policy covers the Levelune app and the website at levelune.momentumapps.org. Other Momentum Apps websites and apps may have their own policies.

2. Audio processing and permissions

Levelune uses macOS audio access to process app audio in real time and apply volume and mute settings. macOS may label this permission “Screen & System Audio Recording.” Levelune uses audio only; it does not capture screen images, record audio files, or upload your audio.

Audio samples are processed locally in memory. Levelune does not send your audio, conversations, or listening activity to Momentum Apps or an analytics service. You can revoke audio access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording. Without that permission, per-app mixing may stop working.

3. Information stored on your Mac

Levelune reads local app and audio-device information needed to show and control your mix, such as app names, icons, bundle identifiers, audio activity, and the selected output device. It stores per-app volume and mute preferences, pinned app names and identifiers, app ordering, and setup preferences on your Mac.

These settings are not uploaded to us. The app does not require a Levelune account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics. Brief audio-activity timing is used locally to manage playback behavior, not to build a listening history.

Saved preferences remain until you reset or remove them. Use the app’s reset controls where available, or contact support for help removing local preferences. Revoking audio permission does not itself delete saved settings.

4. Website hosting and browser information

Netlify hosts this website. When you visit, the hosting service processes technical information needed to deliver, operate, and secure the site, such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information, and request times. Netlify may also provide hosting features and operational diagnostics. See Netlify’s Privacy Policy.

We have not added Google Analytics, advertising trackers, account registration, or a mailing-list form to this website. The interactive mixer illustration runs in your browser, does not access device audio, and does not send its slider or mute settings to us.

You can manage cookies and other website storage through your browser. Links to Momentum Apps, Apple, or other websites are subject to those sites’ own privacy practices.

5. Support and information you choose to send

If you contact support@momentumapps.org, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as your message, app version, or a screenshot. We use that information to answer your request and troubleshoot problems. Our email service providers process these messages on our behalf.

Please do not send passwords, private audio, or unnecessary sensitive information. Support messages are retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain support records, and meet applicable legal obligations.

6. Sharing and your choices

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information you provide for support may be processed by service providers that help us deliver support, disclosed when legally required, or used to protect our services and legal rights. App audio and local preferences are not collected by us.

Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you have provided to us. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law; legal obligations may require us to retain some records. We cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your Mac. Hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own.

7. Children, security, and updates

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We use reasonable safeguards for information we receive, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

We will update this policy if our practices change and revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
